‘Hunt’s Point’ : an extraordinary oceanfront family compound in Nova Scotia.

The Hunts Point compound includes a Main House and 2 Cottages (totaling 2520± sq ft), on 3.97 acres with 440+ feet of direct Atlantic Ocean frontage.

Inspired by a nearby lobster fishermen’s wharf, the buildings have been meticulously well-designed, and hand-crafted from natural materials including stone, red and white cedar, and pine, all of which are used in a manner which assures that the structures blend timelessly into the rugged coastal landscape.

All electrical and CATV service has been placed underground. During construction, every effort was made to disturb the land and the forest as little as possible — the result is a spectacular setting which offers a great deal of tranquility and privacy, and at the same time requires very little maintenance.

Landscaped areas and cutting gardens which immediately surround the buildings include seaside roses, hydrangea and wildflowers such as native lupine.

Nearby, one can find seals basking in the sun at the Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct National Park. Or enjoy fishing and kayaking on Nova Scotia’s myriad lakes and streams — and, of course, on the ocean. A diverse population of local wildlife abounds — deer, fox, brown squirrels and seals have been sighted.

Carter’s Beach — a wide, white sand beach is also nearby.

Hunt’s Point is less than 15 minutes from fine oceanfront dining, golf, and, the convenience of Liverpool — a charming historic town of 3000 people which hosts international music and arts festivals in every Summer. A 5-minute walk takes you to the wharf at Hunts Point where the local fishermen will sell you the freshest lobster on the east coast!
