Selling a home with a certain pedigree combines a complex mixture of knowing or finding the right buyer, defending the asking price, and keeping everything confidential. Steve DiFrancesco, president of Hunter Reed and Company Inc., which sells only properties valued at $1 million or more, explains, ‘ At $1 or $2 million and above, it’s much more about marketing, less about salesmanship.’ Instead of belonging to an exclusive country club where he might meet high rollers, DiFrancesco has amassed a database of 80,000 high net worth individuals.
